Times may change, but some things do not. The "Three R" curriculum of reading, writing, and arithmetic is still essential to a student's success, both in the classroom and in the wider world. I offer personalized, mentor-oriented instruction in these subjects and others, and rest assured that this will not be the experience of torturous tedium that the word "tutor" conjures in so many students' minds.
The best way to help students grow educationally is to ensure that you engage them first and foremost as human beings; if students are not connected to their instructors on this human level, they will never be as open to the educational process as they could be.
